This article is a bit unusual: I wanted to make an overview of the 2015 most famous DAWs, explaining shortly the features and the price range, to help any of you who wants to start recording or to change workstation to choose a new one. More details are available in Acoustica's Wine compatibility document. There are a few VST instruments that seem to be unaffected by this, such as the bundled 'Acoustica Instruments' and 'Acoustica Expanded Instruments'.

When a VST instrument is unloaded (removed from track, changing presets, track removed, etc.), the next added VSTi will usually cause Mixcraft to freeze.
